How do you read the position of a servo? Well, it turns out that you can get the position by hacking into the trimpot of the servo. Follow these instructions to read the position of a servo.
1Take the back off of the servo.
2Identify the wiper wire. This is the hardest step.
3Solder a wire to the wiper wire.
4Screw the back of the servo back on. Remember to make room for the extra wire that you added. I took a pair of wire cutters and cut out a notch for the extra wire to come out.
5Read the resistance value on the new wire you added. This step is pretty easy if you are familiar with voltage dividers.].
